Karen Persyn

Karen Persyn is een voormalig Belgisch competitie-skiester, met specialisaties in de slalom en de reuzenslalom. In 2010 stond ze zelf bij de Olympische Spelen van Vancouver! Ze werd er 27e op de slalom, haar specialiteit. Voor de Spelen van 2014 in het Russische Sotsji kon ze zich niet plaatsen. In totaal won ze zo'n 40 Belgische titels en een aantal internationale FIS-wedstrijden.

Beroep: Alpine slalom skiester en coach.

Heeft veel titels behaald, onder andere:
1998-1999 - Belgisch kampioene Super-G en Afdaling Juniores en Seniores
2000-2001- Belgisch kampioene Reuzenslalom en Super-G Juniores en Seniores. 35ste Wereldkampioenschap Slalom voor Seniores
2003-2004: Belgisch kampioene Slalom. Goud Internationale FIS-slalomwedstrijd in Krakauebene en goud internationale FIS-slalomwedstrijd in Courchevel.
2005-2006: Goud internationale FIS-slalomwedstrijd in Sauze, brons internationale FIS-slalomwedstrijd in Meribel, Crans-Montana en Ancelle
2006-2007: 29ste Wereldkampioenschap slalom, brons Internationale FIS-slalomwedstrijd in Pra-Loup
2007-2008: Zilver Internationale FIS-slalomwedstrijd in Ruka
2008-2009: Belgisch kampioene slalom en reuzenslalom. 21ste Wereldkampioenschap slalom. Goud internationale FIS-slalomwedstrijd van Le Markstein, zilver internationale FIS-slalomwedstrijd in Bjorli, Obersdorf en Le Markstein.
